In Design and Technology, we aim to inspire our students with a love for all things D&T to allow them to become confident individuals with inquisitive minds who will have the courage, skills and knowledge to thrive in the Modern world. 

Here at Bartley Green, we give young people the skills to engage positively with the designed and made world, to harness the benefits of technology through FOUR subject specialisms: - Engineering, Product Design, Textiles and Food technology.  Students learn how products are designed and manufactured, how to make creative use of a variety of resources including CAD/CAM and digital technologies.  Throughout KS3, students explore a series of design and make activities including range of progressive focused practical tasks.  Students gain confidence in their ability to use a variety of hand tools, machinery correctly and safely working with accuracy and precision.
